#SMCYA, Kilkenny

As a participant in the form of expert speaker, our own Peter Grogan gave a talk at the Social Media Conference in Kilkenny today.

With a nice venue, interesting speakers, and over 100 people attending, it was a great meetup for the morning. But this was not the highlight.

The best part of the group of people gathered was the overall vibe and buzz in the room. There was a real sense of 'we can do it' in the room that is encouraging to be a part of.

The Irish business owners we meet seem to be getting on with the daily work of improving themselves, their offerings and their overall knowledge of social media.  With all the talk of 'good news stories' that should be good to hear, this is a real example of people putting their shoulder to the grindstone and getting out there to meet others.

We take inspiration from everyone who came to Kilkenny to listen to Peter and the other speakers.

Special thanks to Krishna De, Gary Gubbins from red Nose Wine, Rob from Lady Umbrella, Waterford Chamber Skillnet, and the other Skillnets who made it all happen.
