11 Modern Antiquities

For their 3rd album, 11 Modern Antiquities, Pugwash commissioned Emagine Media to design the album artwork and subsequent promotional material. The concept for the album cover and booklet arose from a conversation between Thomas Walsh of Pugwash, Daragh Bohan of 1969 Records and Emagine Media's Creative Director, Brian Hickey. Although renowned for their 1960's pop influences, Puqwash are a band whose music is very much of today. Having learned their keen sense of melody and structure from such great as The Beatles and The Beach Boys, Pugwash are a band very much to the forefront of contemporary popular music. The artwork consists of a digipack and 12 page booklet. As part of the graphic theme, Emagine Media designed 3 different pieces of packaging which are featured throughout the digipack. The booklet uses a number of family photos, supplied by Pugwash front man, Thomas and the centre spread is a collage of baby pictures of some of pop music's most noted artists, including Neil Hannon and Andy Partridge, all of whom perform on the album. "We would like to thank Emagine Media for their efforts on this, particularly Brian's input which has been invaluable and as ever, nothing but professional..." ...
