Ok, it really isn't dead and it really satifies our inner geek to see a proper explanation of HTML 5/xhtml and its place in the world.

Our inner child is satisfied by the cartoon strip, and our inner designer loves smashing magazine!
Look forward to our new site, which we plan to have in html5, with as much CSS 3 as we can pack in, and hopefully a new version of Expression Engine to showcase.
As soon as we can lash our designer into shape with a wet noodle, we will have a complete re-vamp of everything.
In the meantime, enjoy the debate.
