Paul Brady - Hooba Dooba Album Packaging
Emagine Media were commissioned to design the CD packaging for the new album from irish music legend, Paul Brady.
More than a dozen concepts were developed in the early stages of the project, however, Paul felt the visual approach was too safe and asked for an "outside the box" solution that would be a departure from some of his previous album covers.
Inspired by the quirky title, Hooba Dooba, and the bluesy stomp feel to some the albums songs, Emagine's creative team responded with the illustration that would become the front cover. That same illustrative style was adopted for the booklet, Disc and Tray Insert.
Hooba Dooba saw its Irish release on Saturday, March 13 and has received rave reviews. "A craftman’s tour de force, a vibrant statement of songwriterly intent from an artist who has achieved a mastery of the grammar of popular music and is capable of marrying that to fine lyric writing and superb musicianship."
