Taste the Atlantic
Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM)
Taste of the Atlantic is a combined initiative of Bord Iascaigh Mhara and Fáilte Ireland that strives to internationally promote the high-quality sea-food yielded from aquaculture along the entire breath of Ireland's Atlantic coast.
Working closely with the client, Emagine were tasked to plan, manage and execute the acquisition of a substantial bank of video assets and still photographs documenting the wide range of aquaculture activities across Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way.

The seafood industry is the lifeblood of so many Irish coastal communities. The Bord Iascaigh Mhara ARC (Aquaculture Remote Classroom) aims to bridge the gap in understanding aquaculture in Ireland and uses interactive technologies to bring footage taken on oyster and other fish farms to life.
Emagine developed a suite of 360 content as part of the curriculum for the ARC. These immersive films allowed school kids to experience swimming through mussel lines in Donegal, oyster beds in Waterford and salmon cages using portable Virtual Reality headsets.

Our tourism / food themed video content was rolled out under the Taste the Atlantic brand. Filming
locations included featured food and aquaculture providers along the Wild Atlantic Way such as the
