Connecting global audiences to complex industrial processes through immersive virtual reality and digital product storytelling.
Industrial and manufacturing companies often face challenges explaining complex production processes, maintaining transparency, and engaging customers when site access is limited. Connolly’s Red Mills sought a more effective way to communicate its field-to-feed process to global customers, stakeholders, and industry professionals.
Emagine developed an immersive virtual reality experience designed to transform industrial process communication into a digital engagement tool. Rather than presenting a conventional virtual tour, the project positioned virtual reality as a scalable platform for product education, technical storytelling, and remote customer engagement.
The experience guides users through the field-to-feed process, from raw grain intake through production and finished feed output, using immersive visuals and guided interpretation to explain complex processes clearly. Designed during pandemic restrictions, the system also addressed remote engagement needs while establishing a longer-term digital communication asset.
The project established a model for how immersive virtual reality can support industrial communication, technical education, and customer engagement while helping manufacturers extend access to facilities and expertise beyond physical visits.

Q: How can virtual reality support customer engagement in manufacturing?
A: Virtual reality can support customer engagement by providing immersive access to facilities, improving product education, enabling remote technical communication, and helping manufacturers connect with global audiences more effectively.
Q: Can virtual reality be used for industrial training and technical education?
A: Yes. Virtual reality can support industrial training and technical education by presenting processes visually, improving understanding of complex operations, and creating scalable digital tools for both customer-facing and internal learning.
